Renewable gas used in existing gas infrastructure could play an important role in reducing Europe’s greenhouse gas emissions to net-zero by mid-century, according to a study published today by the Gas for Climate initiative. EBA is part of this consortium.
On 1st March, the European Commission has approved under EU State aid rules an Italian support scheme for the production and distribution of advanced biofuels, including advanced biomethane. According to the Commission, this measure will contribute to reaching EU energy and climate change goals while limiting distortions of competition. (more…)
